Happy Friday! I hope you all have some wonderful plans for the weekend. Today it all of a sudden struck me that I promised to write a review on the L’Oréal Color Riche l’Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick a few weeks ago and I still didn’t do it. Procrastination at its finest. So sorry if I kept you waiting and I hope you enjoy it nonetheless.

I don’t know about you but I’m always looking for the perfect nude lip products. So when I saw this product on sale I decided to give it a go (even though I’m not a huge fan of lip glosses) because the color looked so pretty. Once I got home I naturally first jumped behind my laptop to do a little research and found out that the L’Oréal Color Riche l’Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick is a lip product with the color intensity of a lipstick, the shine of a gloss and the softness of a lip balm. After reading this I was quite curious if it really would be this good. And I can tell you, it is. This lip color feels so nice on my dry lips. It contains different kind of oils that make this product feel very comfortable on the lips.

I bought the color ‘Molto Mauve’ because this color looks most natural on me. It’s very pigmented and it’s very shiny (most of the time I like matte lips way more but I figured this is quite nice for spring and summer). The only thing I don’t like are the silver glitters in it. You can’t really see them but I feel them on my lips so that makes wearing it a bit more uncomfortable. It stays on about one to two hours which I think is quite decent for a product like this. I bought it for about 10 Euros.

Have you tried any of the L’Oréal Color Riche l’Extraordinaire Liquid Lipsticks? What did you think of it?

L’Oréal Paris True Match Foundation

IMG_2890 IMG_2892 IMG_2893 IMG_2904 IMG_2907 IMG_2908 IMG_2910Even though I’m a make up hoarder, foundation isn’t something I buy that often. I have a few different foundations but I only use one because the others are either too dark or too heavy. About a week ago I was doing my make up. This is not a surprise because I do my make up every day, instead the (not so pleasant) surprise came when I wanted to apply foundation. When I pressed the pump of my Rimmel Match Perfection foundation there was nothing coming out. I didn’t see that one coming. The packaging looked full (there was still foundation on the inside of the glass) so I had no idea how much was still in there. It turned out it was almost empty so I decided it was time for a new foundation. And so the hunt began.

I could just buy the Rimmel Match Perfection again but I actually wanted a more matte foundation because lately my skin has been a bit more oily than usually. After a little research on the internet I wrote down a few options that sounded nice. I swatched them all in the store and I decided to go for the L’Oréal True Match Foundation in Rose Vanilla.

The website of L’Oréal Paris promises that this foundation matches the color and texture of your skin. It should create a perfect skin without a mask effect. On top of this it also should make your skin look healthier, smoother and more even within two weeks. This sounds perfect to me. When I swatched it in the store I was surprise how nice the texture was. It is very light and a bit matte. I chose the color Rose Vanilla.

I like to apply this foundation with my fingers or with my Zoeva Buffer Brush. Because this foundation is a bit darker than the Match Perfection foundation from Rimmel I always used I spent a bit more time to work it into my skin to make it look natural. It has a light but pretty coverage. It lasts the whole day, especially if I use it with a primer. It makes my skin look very nice and healthy so I’m very happy with this purchase. The next time I might choose one shade lighter but the foundation itself is absolutely something I would recommend.

L’Oreal Paris Sublime Soft 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution

IMG_1065IMG_1072Micellar water has been very popular for while now. In case you’ve never heard of it (don’t be ashamed, I too discovered it only a month ago) micellar water is a soap-free cleanser. It contains micelle molecules that help you get rid of make up and dirt. Micellar water is free from alcohol and soap so you can even use it to remove eye make up. This all sounds very promising so I thought to myself, why not try it out? I bought the L’Oreal Paris Sublime Soft 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution. There are many brands that sell micellar water but I chose the one from L’Oreal Paris because:

  1. I love the quality of L’Oreal Paris products.
  2. It “dissolves make up, unclogs pores, removes impurities and tones and soothes skin”. It’s like 4 products in one.
  3. It was in sale (it was only 3 euros, I mean, you can’t say no to that, right?).
  4. The packaging was pink and pink is my favorite color. I can buy things only because of the packaging. Actually, I buy things because of the packaging most of the time.

I have used this cleanser for about a month now. I use it every time after I cleansed my face. I don’t remove my make up with it because it doesn’t take my mascara completely off. I’m not sure if it helps to remove impurities and unclog pores. I always feel like it’s hard to tell if a product improves my skin. This all sounds a bit negative but I actually do like this product. Every time I use this cleanser, it takes make up off my face and I use it after I cleaned my face. Apparently I’m really bad at taking my make up off because when I think my face is clean, this cleanser proves me wrong. So this is a great product to clean your face after you cleaned your face (sounds weird but I think you get the point). I mean, who doesn’t love a clean face?
